Pakistan Army pilots rescued two British mountaineers from a remote mountain in Hunza. It was said that the rescue was called right after their Austrian partner Christian Huber was killed by an avalanche that hit their tent during a storm on Mountย Ultarย Sar. The two climbers, Bruce Normand and Timothy Miller are both safe.

According to Pakistan Army, the Mountaineers will head first to Gilgit and travel to Islamabad later in the week.
The trio of climbers was struck by an avalanche on Friday when they were climbingย Ultarย Sar at 19,000ft. The first rescue call was received on Saturday morning, but Pakistan Army helicopters could not reach them due to the bad weather. The rescue team was finally able to get through at 6.45am on Sunday morning.
Pakistan has some of the world’s highest peaks and is a regular destination for the fearless climbers.
Mount Ultar Sar is described as a difficult and dangerous mountain to climb with a significant risk of avalanches anytime.
Mount Ultarย Sar is nearly 24,239 ft high and was only climbed for the first time in 1996.
These three mountaineers started their journey in late May and were permitted to go till the first week of July.
