Women’s cricket has come a long way ever since the first official match was played in 1934 but never really got the attention it deserved. Although several female cricketers have enriched this sport with their outstanding performances, this iteration of the game remained unable to generate the kind of interest menโ€s cricket does.

1. The first ever Women’s World Cup

4. Women Asia Cup

The first ever Asia Cup was held in 2004 which was won by India. Pakistan made their first appearance in the women’s Asia Cup in 2006.
5. Youngest player in the history of cricket

Sajida Shah from Pakistan is the youngest female player to appear in international cricket, at the age of 12. She also holds the record of taking 7 wickets off 4 runs which is so far the best bowling figures in ODIs.
